Building a school for Blessed Camp

The children in Blessed Camp can't wait to be educated! Recently land was bought for the project and currently we are working hard to raise funds to realize the building of a school. We will build it the African way: in stages and as long as the resources available allow us to continue. Our target is to raise € 25.000 ($ 33.000) to start building in January 2011. Currently (Dec. 2010) we have raised € 19.375,-  ($ 25.500).

Lunch for the children of El Roi school

The children at El Roi school are from very poor families and they often do not receive a single meal per day. Doingoood foundation has started a feeding program for these children in order to provide a cup of porridge in the morning and a warm lunch in the afternoon. We are looking for sponsors who are willing to sponsor a child for € 15,00 per month. ($ 20,00).

Medical care and supplies for Blessed Camp

The leprosy victims in Blessed Camp are in great need of health care. Their leprosy affected body parts suffer from bad wounds and infections. On top of that, due to poor housing conditions and hygiene they have jiggers. The jiggers are pitted in the skin and some people have 60 to 80 jiggers on their feet. Removing the jiggers leaves a large hole in the skin and cause painful wounds. We are looking for funds to hire a nurse who can clean and dress the wounds of the victims 2 times a week.
